Certified Angus Beef (CAB) has launched a new program that markets its beef directly to consumers. Ranch to Table, a partnership between CAB and cattle operations using Angus genetics, now allows ranchers to use the trusted logo for additional sales.
While typical CAB-licensed products are distributed from a packing plant, the Ranch to Table program allows for direct-to-consumer beef merchandising by leveraging a USDA grader to verify brand specifications are met. How can a certified Angus producer get started? CAB will evaluate an operation’s plans and marketing approach as a first step.
