Blueberries in containers at marketIn the last ten years, U.S. fresh blueberry and raspberry per-capita availability has more than doubled. USDA data shows blueberries at the retail level have grown from 1 pound to 2.1 pounds, and raspberries from 0.3 to 0.8. Meanwhile, strawberries declined 19% in the same timeframe, from 6.6 to 5.3 pounds. However, strawberries remain the most widely consumed fresh berry, according to USDA data.
