U.S. exports of fresh fruits and vegetables increased slightly over the last year according to government trade data. Data covering November 2020 to October 2021 found that total fresh fruit exports increased 4%, at more than $4.51 billion. Fresh vegetable exports increased by 1% at $2.63 billion.

– Peaches, cabbage and asparagus led the board in terms of export increases, up 30%, 23% and 19%, respectively.

– Produce that saw declines in exports include peppers, tomatoes and cherries, down 10%, 7% and 5%, respectively.
