A line of early-spring thunderstorms rolling through the Midwest, much-needed snowfall in the Sierra Nevada mountains in California and expectations for massive snowfall in parts of the western U.S. are major highlights of the weather moving toward the weekend. A system will sweep east from California into the high plains, delivering as much as 90 inches of snow in parts of Colorado over the weekend.
