Moisture extremes — massive rainfall in the mid-South while drought continues to worsen in North Dakota — has been the biggest crop weather story of the last few days as more farmers get spring planting underway. Heading into this week, high winds will be an issue for farmers from the Western Slope through the Plains and into the Corn Belt as the jet stream follows a line of high- and low-pressure systems from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico.
