Frequently asked questions
How can I become an independent ProAg agent?

As a crop insurance agent, you’ll help protect America’s most important industry. But before you can dive in, you’ll need to start with your insurance agent license. Requirements for multiple peril crop and crop hail insurance vary by state. Make sure to find local requirements before you start your journey. Anyone interested in selling federal crop insurance products will be required to complete federally mandated training and complete a competency test prior to writing their first policy.

After you receive your license, you will need to complete continuing education training to maintain your status. We help agents meet (and exceed) those requirements with educational opportunities through ProAg U.
