A Century of Commitment, Built by Our People
Some people come to a job. Others find a place where they want to stay and help it grow. For Nored Lane and Vikki Blettner, ProAg has been more than a workplace. It’s been a place to build a career, to learn and to stay.
As ProAg approaches its 100-year anniversary, stories like theirs show what that legacy really looks like. It’s not just years on a timeline. It’s people who commit to the industry, to each other and to doing things the right way.
A Place to Work and Grow
Nored Lane has spent more than two decades in the field, starting as an adjuster and working his way to area claims supervisor. Along the way, one thing has stayed consistent. The opportunity to keep learning.
He describes his career simply. It’s about doing the work, meeting people and continuing to grow.
That steady progression mirrors the changes he’s seen across the industry. Early systems have given way to more advanced platforms, reshaping how claims are handled and how teams operate day to day.
Vikki Blettner’s path has followed a different track, but with the same sense of purpose. With more than two decades at ProAg, she now oversees claims processing, livestock claims, compliance and education as the ProAg Director of Insurance Operations. Her work sits at a critical point in the process, ensuring claims are handled correctly and efficiently from review through payment.
For her, the meaning behind the role is clear. It’s about helping farmers continue to do what they do best.
Change That Drives ProAg’s Progress

Both Nored and Vikki have seen the industry evolve. Neither of them sees that as something to avoid, but rather as something to embrace.
For Nored, the shift from older systems to modern tools stands out as a defining change. It reflects the company’s continued investment in better ways of working and serving policyholders. To make crop insurance easier.
Vikki points to something broader. The increasing complexity of risk management tools has made crop insurance both more challenging and more meaningful. It’s work that requires precision, accountability, innovation and a willingness to solve difficult problems. And for her, that’s exactly what makes it rewarding.
A Culture That Keeps People
Ask either of them why they’ve stayed at ProAg, and the answer comes back quickly, “because of the people.”
Nored describes a culture shaped by leadership values that carry through the organization. In difficult moments, teams pull together and keep moving forward with solid leadership.
Vikki sees that same culture through a different lens. She calls out a “lift as you climb” mindset that creates space to grow. As leaders advance, they encourage career growth, or “lift” to those who report to them. This philosophy is collaborative, with leaders mentoring and encouraging others to try new things, even if that means they may fail along the way.
ProAg Cares – Moments That Matter

Vikki Blettner
Not all impact shows up in systems or processes. For both Nored and Vikki, some of the most meaningful experiences have come through the employee-led ProAg Cares program.
Nored still thinks about the moment bikes were built for kids in Omaha during the All-Employee Gathering. Seeing the reaction firsthand left a lasting impression. It was a reminder of the impact that happens when people come together to give back to the communities we live in and work in.
Vikki points to similar experiences: packaging meals, supporting communities and knowing that their volunteer times reach people who need it.
These are the moments that connect day-to-day work to something bigger and remind us of our humanity.
Looking Ahead to the Next 100 Years

Nored Lane
Reaching 100 years is significant. But both Nored and Vikki see it as part of a longer story.
For Nored, the future is about carrying forward the vision that has already been set. Building on the foundation that others created and continuing to move it ahead.
For Vikki, it comes down to something simple. ProAg does things its own way. That willingness to think differently, challenge the norm and do what’s right is what positions the company for the next century.
ProAg – Built to Last
A company doesn’t reach 100 years by accident. It happens because of people who stay committed. The company grows with people who adapt, grow and take pride in the work they do every day.
Nored Lane and Vikki Blettner are just one part of that story. And because of people like them, the next chapter at ProAg Crop Insurance Company is already taking shape and looks to be an even brighter future.
