While a newcomer to the crop insurance industry, Scott is no stranger to agriculture and marketing strategy. He and his wife own Scott’s original homestead farm which has been in his family 161 years. After years of cropping it, they have now turned the 270 acres into fields of native grasses, wetlands and trees in West Central Minnesota.
Prior to joining the ProAg team, Scott was responsible for marketing strategy within a commercial division of Travelers Insurance. He has also held a variety of marketing and strategy roles at Deluxe Corporation where he led several transformational initiatives including New Product Development, eCommerce and Mergers & Acquisitions. In addition, he has previous experience in both the telecommunications and consulting industries and has owned his own small business.
Scott received his MBA from Drake University in Des Moines, IA and his bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN. Scott lives in the Twin Cities with his wife Kate and has two twenty-something daughters, Rachel and Clare. In his spare time, he spends as much time outdoors as he can hunting, fishing, hiking and at his farm.
Missy has been in the crop insurance business for 25 years, beginning her career as an underwriter for a Texas agency. Through the years, she has worked as an Underwriting Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, Training Manager, and Regional Vice President.
Missy joined the ProAg team in June of 2006. “I am proud to work for an organization that values their employees and customers,” she states. “I see it throughout the company every day.”
A graduate of MidAmerica University, Terri entered the crop insurance business with Continental Insurance in 1986, and joined ProAg in 2004 as the National Operations Manager. In her crop insurance career she has held various positions, including Crop Hail Underwriter/Supervisor, MPCI Underwriter/Supervisor, Regional Operations Manager, and Agent in Illinois, Indiana, and Kansas.
She grew up on a grain farm and spent many hours with her father, who was committee chairman for their ASCS division. She credits her extensive knowledge of agriculture to that experience as well as her strong background as a member and leader of 4-H.
Terri has three grown children: Tangela, Jessica, and Cameron, and four grandchildren. Family is her primary focus away from the office, but she also enjoys tropical vacations, collecting Wizard of Oz memorabilia, and gardening.
A graduate of the University of California-Berkeley, German has worked in the crop insurance industry since 1998. His first stop as a software consultant was with Rural Community Insurance in Anoka, MN. He has been part of the ProAg team since 2006 and also serves on the NCIS TIP committee.
Away from work, German’s calendar is filled with his daughter, Lauren’s, sports and social activities.
Darci has been in the crop insurance industry for over 35 years including experience agency and claims experience. Darci has progressed through the ranks of the claims and compliance during the last 25 years – from claims auditor and compliance reviewer to his current role as National Claim Manager. His agricultural experience also includes having farmed for 29 years.
Darci’s education includes attending NDSU which lead him to become a Certified Crop Advisor. He has two grown children, Maria and Joshua who both live in North Dakota. He also enjoys hitting the open road riding motorcycle or enjoying the outdoors while hunting and fishing.
Vikki has been in the crop insurance business for over 20 years. Her career began in the Northwest as an underwriter. Through the years, she has held various positions, including claims supervisor, claims processing manager, and legal analysis coordinator.
Vikki joined the ProAg team in 2004. Working to help protect America’s farmers and ensure they can continue to farm, is exactly where she feels she belongs. Vikki enjoys being a part of the crop insurance industry.
Vikki and her husband, Kerry, live in northern Idaho. Together with their children, Kara and Logan, they spend their free time snow skiing, water skiing/wake-surfing, mountain biking or attending the kid’s sporting events.
She grew up on a farm and has been involved in agriculture all of her life. Jeanie attended Kansas State University and has 38-years of crop insurance experience which started by becoming the crop hail office supervisor for her first employer.
During her career, she has worked as an MPCI Underwriting Supervisor and a Regional Office Supervisor. She joined ProAg in August of 2006.
Jeanie has three grown and married sons and four grandsons.
Chris brings over 15 years of experience in the crop insurance industry to ProAg. He has worked in positions with various crop insurance companies including being a marketing representative as well as regional and national underwriting supervisor positions.
Chris’ education includes an Agricultural Business bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS.
She is responsible for the supervision of all operations and the servicing of numerous insurance products within the Upper Midwest region of eight states. Diane has 25 years of experience in the crop insurance industry, including roles as a claims processor, software training specialist, underwriting and claims supervisor, and regional marketing manager.
Diane’s career has focused on mentoring her employees to better themselves and the companies they work for. She considers the success and career advancement of her team members her greatest accomplishment. Diane is currently a Women in Agribusiness national advisory board member and sees this as a great opportunity to contribute to the participation and growth of women in the diverse field of agriculture.
He has worked in the crop insurance industry since 1993, serving most recently as Regional Operations Supervisor for the Lexington Office of ProAg. Prior to joining ProAg in 2012, Jeffrey worked for Great American Insurance Company in various capacities, including Senior Actuarial Analyst, Senior Crop Specialist, Profit Center Manager and National Training Director.
A classically trained pianist, Jeffrey works with 22 piano students each week. He also volunteers as a director with the Public Housing Authority, helping them meet financial and compliance goals.
Nikki is responsible for managing the human resources staff as well as providing consultative and strategic leadership to various areas within ProAg. She brings over 15 years of experience in the human resources field to ProAg including SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Crucial Conversations Trainer, and 360 Performance Feedback certifications.
Nikki’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management and Management Information Systems from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
