Beck’s announced this week the acquisition of a new facility in Goehner, Nebraska. The site sits on 150 acres and will provide western farmers with sales support, distribution and research, as well as educational and agronomic opportunities. As the largest family-owned retail seed company and the third-largest seed brand in the country, Beck’s says the new facility will support their farmer-focused mission and expand research into western Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska and South Dakota. The facility is expected to be partially operational in 2022 and fully operational in 2023.
The announcement comes after the company purchased a facility in Beaman, Iowa in August of this year for soybean processing and production. Beck’s will also acquire a corn and soybean production, processing and distribution facility in Coon Rapids, Iowa next month.
