In a letter to President Joe Biden, more than 70 biofuel organizations requested an increase in biodiesel and biofuel volumes by 500 million gallons. Clean Fuel Alliance America says the renewable fuel industry currently produces more fuel than what the current Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) calls for.
As EPA prepares a new round of final volumes before the June 14th deadline, ag groups and fuel associations are rallying for more demand, particularly for biodiesel. If volume obligations aren’t increased, it could negatively impact the soy-crushing industry and the value of biodiesel and renewable diesel altogether.
