Several fuel and aviation leaders met at the White House to discuss an opportunity for ethanol producers as they strive to meet the goal of dropping aviation emissions by 20% by 2030. As aviation accounts for 11% of U.S. transportation-related emissions, renewable fuels leaders say ethanol can play a role in meeting this goal. As the carbon footprint of ethanol production continues to shrink, President Biden and White House officials continue to looks for ways to incoporate climate-smart agriculture in various legislation.
