After six months on the job for U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, there’s no shortage of issues remaining top-of-mind for U.S. farmers and ranchers. In a recent “Town Hall” style interview, Secretary addressed concerns surrounding contiued wildfires, COVID assistance payments and renewable fuels. Sec. Vilsack also spoke on the recently announced payments for pork producers and labor shortages at USDA stalling timely top-up payments.
