U.S. corn and soybean conditions declined again this week with corn down 2% and soybeans down another 1%, according to the latest Crop Progress report. The week prior brought a decline of 2% for corn and 3% for soybeans. Corn now sits at 60% good-to-excellent and soybeans 56% good-to-excellent as of Sunday, Aug. 22. Both crops’ current condition ratings are a tie for the third-lowest good-to-excellent rating in the past 12 years. Trade experts expect conditions for both crops to hold steady.
