The 25th USDA Crop Progress report of the season, released Monday, saw minimal changes to corn and soybean conditions. Corn conditions are just 1% behind last week at 52% good/excellent and soybeans are also down 1% at 55% good/excellent.
87% of corn has reached the dented stage (1% behind the five-year average, with maturation at 40% (5% behind the five-year average). 7% of the crop has been harvested (1% behind the five-year average).
42% of soybeans have started to drop leaves, 5% behind the five-year average, with 3% of the crop harvested (2% below the five-year average).
