If you had soybean crop losses from off-target movement, or drift, of dicamba herbicide, you can now file a claim as part of the recent settlement with Bayer. The claim period began Tuesday and runs through late May 2021. The $400 million Bayer settlement provides compensation for producers with crop damage and yield losses from the Xtend system beginning in 2015 up to this year. Of the total amount, $300 is available for producer claims. One caveat: Growers must have adequate legally acceptable documentation of dicamba damage, including photos, regulatory agency reports or notes and documentation from expert agronomists. See more on the process.
