Ranchers who have needed to haul hay or other feed due to drought-stricken grazing areas in 2021 may be eligible for reimbursement. USDA shared earlier this week a permanent update to the Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honey Bees and Farm-raised Fish Program to include up to 60% reimbursement for producers paying feed trucking costs due to drought. Some farmers will be eligibile for 90% reimbursement. The program was already amended to reimburse water-hauling costs. Read more on eligibility here.
