Rod Snyder, EPA Senior Agriculture Advisor, says the Biden Administration is taking action to expand biofuel use throughout the U.S. The comment comes from the agency’s work on strengthening the Renewable Fuel Standard, a tall order that relies on decision-making from the President.
Snyder remarks that the agency should be able to release timely blending requirements for refiners – a task that has often been delayed over the last several years. Increasing biofuel use helps increase America’s energy independence, facilitate job growth and support rural economies. EPA is slated to release Renewable Volume Obligations in November for 2023.
