Overall rangeland quality and productivity can take a major hit from weed pressures, like that from things like leafy spurge and thistles. If your pasture has issues with these or other weeds, now is a good time to consider herbicide applications to knock them down moving into winter. Timing is critical; treatments are most effective late in the season but prior to a killing frost so the product inflicts its maximum injury to weed root and reproductive systems.
