Home > News > Fertilizer Prices Fall, Still Much Higher than Last Year

Retail fertilizer prices continue to fall this month, according to DTN’s price tracker. For three consecutive weeks, all eight major fertilizers moved lower compared to last month. Anhydrous ammonia dropped a whopping 7% in one month. Progessive Farmer (DTN) views any movements of at least 5% as significant.

The remaining seven fertilizers were slightly lower. DAP had an average price of $978/ton, 10-34-0 at $878/ton, potash at $881, urea at $807, MAP at $1,026, UAN28 at $576 and UAN32 at $676/ton. However, despite the lower costs, all fertilizers remain substantially higher than one year ago – ranging from 39% to 80% higher.
