As March approaches, fertilizer prices continue to climb for the second week in a row. All but one major fertilizers are higher compared to last month. Liquid ammonium phosphate is 5% more costly compared to last month, with an average price of $837/ton. DAP averaged $874/ton, MAP at $935 and potash at $815. Anhydrous reached an all-time high of $1,488/ton, as did UAN28 at $603 and UAN32 at $703 – the first time in history UAN32 has topped $700. Urea was slightly lower with an average price of $891/ton. As the Russia-Ukraine crisis continues, oil prices can influence fertilizer prices, likely increasing costs more.
