As harvest season nears, Farm Rescue is now taking applications from farm families facing a major illness, injury, or natural disaster that puts this year’s crop at risk. Founded in 2005 by Bill Gross, the nonprofit relies on volunteers, donors, and business partners to provide free planting, harvest, haying, hauling, and livestock assistance to farmers and ranchers across 11 states. Executive Director Shari Rogge-Fidler notes that while rural neighbors usually look out for one another, harvest season often leaves everyone stretched thin on their own ground, which is exactly when Farm Rescue steps in to help get the crop out.

Farm families in need of assistance can apply directly at FarmRescue.org or by calling 701-252-2017, with volunteers ready to move quickly once a request is confirmed.
