JBS USA recently announced it will be investing more than $130 million to increase production capacities at their Grand Island and Omaha, Neb facilities. The nation’s largest beef processor, has also increased its annualized pay rates for workers by more than $150 million across nine beef plants. An additional $71 million in short-term incentives and non-permanent bonus payments were not a part of the $150 million increase total. According to company officials, these positive investments are a part of their long-term commitment to promote growth in the high-demand U.S. beef industry.
