To better empower their customers and minimize downtime, John Deere announced this week it will be expanding access to self-repair resources starting in May. The Customer Service Advisor, previously available only through dealerships, will now be available for purchase by customers and repair shops through John Deere’s website.
The digital database connects to machinery to clear and refresh codes, take diagnostics and perform some calibrations. John Deere says it will update the service next year to include a mobile device interface. Deere equipment owners will still have the option to visit a dealership for repairs or an independent repair shop.
