Harvest is inching closer and closer to the finish line, according to the most recent USDA Crop Progress Report. U.S. farmers are more than 80% finished with corn and soybean harvest as of Sunday. USDA said corn harvest is 84% complete compared to a 78% five-year average lead by Iowa (84%), Nebraska (82%) and Indiana (75%). Soybeans are 87% complete, falling one point behind the 88% five-year average with Illinois leading the charge at 85% complete and Indiana at 77%. Both, however, are well behind their five-year averages of 92% and 89% respectively. Meanwhile, U.S. winter wheat condition was rated 45% good to excellent, on par with last week.
