August’s Cattle on Feed report showed inventories for feedlots with a capacity of 1,000 head showed a 1.9% decline from the same period last year. The new August numbers are the sixth consecutive monthly decline in feedlot inventories, however, experts say inventories have still been running above 2020 levels for most of the year.
