U.S. beef and pork export values from May showed impressive growth, even shattering previous records, according to the USDA. The newly released U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) data stated pork export volume reached its third largest on record while beef exports reached a new volume high altogether (up 68% from a year ago). Industry officials were extremely pleased with the outstanding performance considering the additional COVID-related supply chain obstacles and uncertain international business climate.
