The beef industry has a new 1,500-head per day processing facility on the way in the Midwest. A $325-million Iowa-based project is owned by Cattlemen’s Heritage Beef Company and its projected to be completed in late 2023. The plant will bring 750 jobs to Mills County, Iowa, which is located south of Council Bluffs, and an estimated annual economic impact of $1.1 billion.
