The 2018 Farm Bill called for the National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to review its conservation practices for any potential changes to better enable participants to integrate those practices on the farm level. That review is complete, and new standards released address current programs as well as new conservation practices on wastewater treatment and wildlife habitat. The revised standards — including new ways to integrate technology into different steps in the process — provide guidelines for participating producers to plan and maintain conservation practices.
