October Deadlines Approaching for Three Critical USDA Pandemic Assistance Programs

Coronavirus COVID-19 virus modelAfter the COVID-19 pandemic shocked the food supply chain and disrupted commodity markets, USDA created the Pandemic Assistance for Producers initiative. Mid-October marks sign-up deadlines are approaching for three important programs producers are recommended to consider.

– Coronavirus Food Assistance Program 2 – October 12
– Pandemic Livestock Indemnity Program – October 12
– Pandemic Assistance for Timber Harvesters and Haulers Program – October 15

If your farm or related business was impacted by the pandemic, you may be eligible for these programs. Your local Farm Service Agency (FSA) office can assist with completing the sign-up form. Read more on USDA pandemic assistance.
