After enjoyable fall weather for much of the Corn Belt, weather patterns are trending towards a cold and wet start to the winter months. Normal to below-normal temperatures are expected while light rain and cloud cover moves slowly across the eastern Corn Belt through the remainder of October. Cold air from Canada will ascend on the Plains for the first two weeks of November, along with expected dry conditions. Following that, be sure winter weather gear and emergency supplies are back in your vehicles as a snowstorm is likely on the horizon before November 15. This weather is expected to continue through December. Meanwhile, as South America’s planting and growing season continues, La Niña weather will bring Brazil plenty of rain, while Argentinian crops stay dry. Read more on expected weather patterns.
