Overall corn planting fell to three percentage points behind the five-year average according to the latest USDA Crop Progress Report at 36% planted. Soybeans remain four points ahead at 25% planted. Emerged corn is currently three points ahead of the five-year average at 12% and soybean emergence is five points ahead at 9%.
