Fertilizer prices continue to trend lower than year-ago levels as 2022 nears its end. One fertilizer was significantly lower in price for the first time in several months. Potash marked a 5% reduction in price with an average of $807 per ton.
Other fertilizer price reductions included DAP at $902 per ton, MAP at $939 per ton, urea at $779 per ton, 10-34-0 at $750 per ton, anhydrous at $1,451 per ton and UAN28 at $579 per ton. In a recent DTN grower survey, 45% of respondents said they already purchased all of their 2023 fertilizer needs, while 30% said they purchased some of their fertilizer needs.
