As Women’s History Month winds down, a group of women leaders in the crop insurance industry is gathering with the USDA Risk Management Agency to discuss working in agriculture, their successes and the challenges they’ve overcome in the crop insurance industry. The speakers will include ProAg President and CEO Kendall Jones. Kendall also serves on the Board of Directors for Producers Ag Insurance Group, as well as the chair of the Board of Directors at National Crop Insurance Services. Jones will be joined by former Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) Director Iris Sáenz and current FCIC Director Pat Swanson in discussing their careers and offering professional advice for those interested in following in their footsteps in the crop insurance industry and other sectors of agriculture. The session will take place Wednesday, March 31, at 1:00 PM EDT, 12:00 noon CDT. View Acting RMA Administrator Richard Flournoy’s announcement here. If you have questions to pose to the panel ahead of time, send them to Sean Patrick with the USDA-RMA Risk Management Education Division. Log on to the session Wednesday here.
