In their monthly Ag Economy Barometer survey of 400 U.S. ag producers, Purdue University economists report sentiment is improving among farmers based on improved crop prospects and rebounding grain market prices. The August survey indicated slightly more farmers expect to make major purchases than the previous month’s survey, while more respondents indicated they’re increasingly bullish on the farmland market compared to July. Just over 2/3 of farmers surveyed said they are optimistic about U.S. ag export growth, up 10% from the July survey. See more of the latest results.
