Local agronomists say top yielding potential was lost for some in Iowa, eastern Nebraska and northern Missouri corn crops due to a recent hailstorm. The storm dropped 0.50- to 1.75-inch-size hail causing stripped corn and some soybean defoliation. Experts say the soybean crops have a better chance of bouncing back at this stage in their growth.
