A Grundy County auction has yielded a new state record in Iowa. An 80-acre tract of farmland, containing one wind turbine, was sold for $22,600 per acre just two weeks after the record was previously broken by a $19,000 per-acre sale. The trend is being seen throughout most of Iowa, where five counties had record-breaking sales last week. Analysts say this trend is expected to continue and signals a productive harvest is in store for Iowa farmers. Read more details on the record-breaking sales.
