More COVID-19 shipping issues continue to hit China’s Ningbo-Zhoushan container port, which is the third-busiest in the world. The Meishan terminal has been partially shut down for almost a week as a result of a single employee testing positive for COVID-19. With the rapid spread of the Delta variant, China has strict measures in place to try to curb additional outbreaks. This comes after shipping rates from China to the U.S. skyrocketed above $20,000 per 40-foot box. Read more about the port closure.
