U.S. blueberry and blackberry producers in the Southeast expect a good quality, good volume crop this year. That is, if the current weather pattern holds. It will be a welcome change for the farmers. In 2022, a late freeze significantly damaged berry yields across the Southeastern United States.

Producers also reported dealing with inflation, navigating increasing costs in nearly every part of the process. However, the industry is hopeful transportation costs will decrease if fuel costs decrease.
