A tentative agreement has been reached between John Deere and the United Auto Workers (UAW) in the ongoing strike of about 10,100 employees across 12 facilities in Iowa, Illinois and Kansas. The agreement still needs to be voted on by the striking workers. A previous agreement was rejected by nearly 90% of the union’s members earlier this month, sparking the strike, the first John Deere strike since 1986. UAW members say they’re focusing on wages and benefits and will not release details on the agreement until members meet and review the terms. Read more on the John Deere-UAW strike.
