Summer Derecho Leaving Lasting Marks on Grain Prices

Though it’s been over two months since a derecho storm system worked its way through the Midwest, leaving in its wake severe damage to crops, livestock and farm infrastructure. The two targets of that damage — namely crop acres and grain storage capacity — is influencing cash grain prices in both regions directly affected and adjacent areas.
