The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) reports that sales of four-wheel-drive tractors in the U.S. fell last month by 14.3% compared to this time in 2023. Additionally, sales of combines are down 31.5%. AEM reports sales of 100-plus horsepower ag tractors increased slightly last month compared to 2023, as did sales of two-wheel-drive, 100+hp tractors by 2.8%.

Ultimately, total sales of combines and tractors are down compared to January and February 2023. Manufacturers report 814 combine sales in the first two months of the year, 90 combines fewer than the same time last year. However, the same sales in Canada rose a whopping 27.2% and are up 6.3% year-to-date compared to 2023.
