Jami Wells accepting award(BONITA SPRINGS, Fl.) ProAg’s Jami Wells is a recipient of the 2023 Industry Leadership Standing Committee Award for consistently serving the industry and providing outstanding leadership to National Crop Insurance Services (NCIS) and the crop insurance industry. The award was presented during the 2023 Crop Insurance Industry Annual Convention in Bonita Springs, Florida.

Jami has been a crop insurance adjuster with ProAg since 2007. She has 16 years of experience in claims and is currently a Senior Crop Insurance Adjuster. Her managers and peers all say she is a great asset to the company and willing to take on whatever is asked. Her abilities reach out beyond the crops of Missouri and extend into helping in other regions, including recent pistachios inspections. The ProAg crop hail team relies on Jami’s help in many training sessions and list her as a top-notch adjuster.

Jami has also been an important part of the NCIS Missouri Regional/State Committee for many reasons. She joined the committee in 2013, served as Vice-Chair from 2014-2016, as Chair from 2016-2018, again as Vice-Chair from 2021-2022, and is currently serving in her second term as Chair of the Committee. Her leadership is paving the way toward increasing the efficiency of monthly meetings. Jami is always an example of professionalism and is well respected for her industry expertise, and her ability to find common ground among differing perspectives is unparalleled.

With almost 10 years of committed service to the Missouri R/S Committee, Jami has made a positive impact on the industry. Jami is the only representative from ProAg to consistently participate on this Committee, which, at a minimum, helps with meeting quorum and ProAg representation. Yet Jami’s contributions go way beyond the minimum. The Missouri Committee hosts a wheat, corn, and soybean loss adjustment school annually and Jami is active in planning and facilitating the school as a plot leader year after year. She has also been a strong contributor to discussions and area issues during Committee meetings. Jami’s leadership is a valuable asset to the crop insurance industry and her contributions consistently go above and beyond her company role with ProAg.
