Despite increased broiler production, total meat numbers are expected to decrease in 2022, according to the latest forecasts from the Livestock Marketing Information Center. This decrease follows a string of seven consecutive years of growth. Consumption forecasts are also predicted to decrease as well, down 1.8 pounds from 224.2 lb./person in 2021.
