More international plates featured American pork in April. Exports had another month of growth, continuing the trend set for the year so far. Compared to April 2022, pork exports were up 15%. The value of those exports was also up year over year, clocking in 10% higher than April 2022. The demand came primarily from Mexico, Korea, Australia and several Southeast Asian countries.

Other U.S. meat exports saw lower rates compared to last year. Beef exports were down 10% year over year in April, while lamb exports fell 13%.
