With corn and soybean harvest working its way north, ag leaders are encouraging Midwestern farmers to confirm propane supplies they’ll need to meet fall grain-drying needs, as well as any other heating needs they’ll have through fall and beyond. Iowa secretary of agriculture Mike Naig said an existing tight supply situation could be complicated by things like crop damage from the derecho, which could reduce the amount of in-field drying leading up to harvest.
