As of Monday, the U.S. corn crop was rated 59% good to excellent, compared to 60% one week ago, according to the latest USDA Crop Progress Report. While the condition dropped, country-wide progress remains at or ahead of last year. Meanwhile, soybeans climbed 1% higher to 57% rated good to excellent and are progressing up to 3% faster compared to the 5-year average.
