Continuing the push for a simplified and common-sense approach to clean water, 24 U.S. governors have asked the Biden administration to delay the implementation of WOTUS (Waters of the U.S.) legislation. The latest WOTUS ruling, released by EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, sparked multiple lawsuits.
Ag and many other industry groups have routinely opposed significant and one-size-fits-all water rulings. In the letter, the governors said the timing of the final rule couldn’t have been worse and that “broad definitions” throughout the rule add to the “confusing and complicated history of WOTUS”.
