As the manufacturing world continues to wait on ramifications from the gruesome Russian invasion of Ukraine, February U.S. sales data shows an increase in tractor sales and a decrease in combine sales. Amidst already-challenging supply chain uncertainties, manufacturers face continued obstacles in supplying their production lines with parts and materials.
The Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ February 2022 Ag Tractor and Combine Report showed total tractor sales year-to-date are up 5% compared to 2021 and total farm tractor sales grew 9.2% over 2021. Meanwhile, data shows combine sales are down 3.1% compared to last year and a total of 25.6% lower than the first two months of 2021.
