Officials at the USDA Risk Management Agency (RMA) are seeking producer input on how the Pasture, Rangeland, Forage (PRF) Rainfall Index Crop Insurance Program can better serve producers. The program is intended to help offset the cost of forage losses brought on by rainfall shortfalls, and officials are examining ways to improve indemnity targeting and other ways to enable policyholders to reduce and manage risk.
