The June 28 weekly USDA Crop Progress Report showed little change from the previous week, however both corn and soybeans have maintained progress at or above their five-year averages. Corn crops were marked at 64% good-to-excellent condition (down 1% from the week prior) with soybeans staying the same at 60% good-to-excellent. Winter wheat was as 48% good-to-excellent condition (down 1%). More notably, 96% of soybeans have emerged with 14% in the blooming stage — this is up considerably from the five-year averages of 92% and 11% respectively. Get additional crop progress updates now.
